5A05 aluminum alloy plate is Mg-Al antirust aluminum, its strength is similar to 5B05, and its chemical composition is similar to 5A06. It is mainly used on low load parts working in liquid or gas and require high formability and weldability, such as oil tank, gasoline or lubricate pipe, liquid container, and other low load parts made by deep drawing. Wire rods are used to make rivets.

5A05 aluminum plate sheet is Al-Mg series rust-proof aluminum alloy, which cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Cold deformation of the alloy can increase the strength. The annealed state has high plasticity, the alloy has good corrosion resistance and acceptable weldability. It is suitable for spot welding, atomic hydrogen welding, gas welding, and argon arc welding.
5A05 aluminum sheet is generally used to manufacture welded pipes, welded fuel tanks, other liquid containers and other similar parts that require high process plasticity, a certain degree of corrosion resistance, can withstand moderate loads.In many countries, 5A05 aluminum plate is often used to manufacture high-strength structural parts, ship deck, oil tank, storage tank and other pressure vessels, as well as ship parts.
