5083 aluminum plate is an aluminum product with magnesium as the main alloy element, also known as mg Al alloy. 5083 aluminum alloy is widely used because of its low density, good rust resistance and high strength. 5083 aluminum alloy has good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability and good cold workability.
Aluminum alloy 5083 is a non-heat-treatable alloy that is typically accessible in the form of flat rolled plates from a range of manufacturing mills. Its magnesium content is 4.5 percent, while its chromium and manganese contents are 0.15 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively.In addition, the aluminum alloy is manufactured in forms, including as an extruded seamless tube, as other extrusions,and as forgings.
